After mass, the pilgrims went in procession to the very place where Our Lady appeared to the children on August 19, 1917. At Os Valinhos, they prayed the rosary.
Pilgrims from various countries, united all together in a long procession sang hymns in honor to Our Lady under the olive trees.
After diner, many spent part of the night in front of the Blessed Sacrament exposed all night long for adoration and reparation of the fervent pilgrims.

About 10.000 faithful came to Fatima for the pilgrimage organized by the SSPX these 19 and 20 august, on the occasion of the centenary of the apparitions of Our Lady.
The opening solemn mass of this pilgrimage was celebrated by Father Franz Schmidberger, rector of the SSPX German seminary, assisted by Father Karl Stehlin, superior of the district of Asia as a deacon, and of Father Pascal Schreiber, superior of the district of Switzerland as sub-deacon. The Superior General, Bishop Bernard Fellay assisted to the mass along with Their Excellencies Bishops Bernard Tissier de Mallerais and Alfonso de Galareta as well as 275 priests and seminarians.
250 faithful from the USA joined with the 1000 Germans, 500 Swiss, numerous Frenchmen and pilgrims from everywhere including Philippines, Singapore, Japan…
During his sermon Fr. Schmidberger reminded how actual is the message of Our Lady of Fatima, inviting all the pilgrims to offer their sufferings for Church's victory in the today crisis and for the triumph of the immaculate Heart of Mary.

Under a bright sun and with a temperature of 90 F, the pontifical Mass was celebrated by Bishop Bernard Fellay, Superior General of the Society of Saint Pius X. He was assisted by Frs. Niklaus Pfluger and Alain-Marc Nély. Fr. Yves le Roux, rector of the SSPX seminary in the United States served as the Assistant Priest. Fr. Christian Thouvenot, SSPX General Secretary and Fr. Pablo Suarez, General Bursar, served respectively as deacon and sub-deacon.
